Monday's
- 8 PM

El
Infarto Radio is an experiment in nonsense. Every Monday
night, Shawn (El Infarto) Hendricks takes to the
internet airwaves to play odd music (both live and
pre-recorded), tell stories about strange happenings in
his life, and drink like Prohibition shall be reinstated
in the morning. Shawn is often joined by his partner in
musical crime, Joe (Father Divine) Ferrara, who is prone
to rants about society, punctuated by random impressions
of celebrities both real and imagined. The
"show" begins at 9pm (Eastern Standard Time),
and goes until the bottle runs dry. Profanity is
abundant, as are discussions of an adult nature, so be
warned. And be drunk. It's funnier that way.
Wednesday's - 8 PM

Friday
4/18 - FATHER DIVINE - Hosted by TonyT
|
|
|
|
Father
Divine
http://www.fatherdivine.net On
a Friday night in North
Jersey Father Divine
graced the stage at
TonyT's for what was a
memorable night of music
for us all. While
not one of my most
memorable mixes (too
long of a break for me),
the band did not disappoint.
The band is a
collaboration of four
exceptional musicians
led by Joe
Ferrara. Joe is a
multi talented musician
who knows how to keep
your attention on
stage. Joe will go
from a very strong vocal
to a keyboard solo, mix
in some sax, a bit of
megaphone, and then
other assorted
toys. All
this while a very solid
rhythm section is
grooving
behind.
Rock, Pop, Jazz,
Theatrical, Jam, where
ever it fits I like it! From
their bio: Like
the city from which it
hails, the music of the
band Father Divine is a
melting pot of diverse
cultures, ideals and
aesthetics. Based in New
York City and founded by
Joe Ferrara (aka Father
Divine) in 2000, the
band's sound is a bold
look into the depth and
potential that music
truly can have. Through
the sounds of World
Music, Progressive Hard
Rock, underground, late
60's pop, Classical
counterpoint, and
countless other
influences, the elements
of each song can be
thought of as a sculpted
menagerie layered with
nuances for the listener
to uncover. At times the
songs are reminiscent of
cinematic soundtracks,
and other times more
archetypical in form,
but always striving
toward a unique
expression and outlook.

Saturday
2/21 - BERN & THE BRIGHTS - Hosted by Zeke
Carey
|
|
|
|
Bern
& The Brights
http://www.bgroove.com Bern
& The Brights
charged our studio on
Saturday night with soft
grooving rhythms, staccato
violin and a super tight
rhythm section.
Bern's voice cuts
through the air the same
way her lyrics speak to
your mind. Laid
back harmonies, grooving
guitar and a definite
ungelating groove makes
for an extremely
enjoyable and competent
performance.
Catherine McGowan
compliments this groove
with her powerful voice
and spectacular song
writing abilities.
Sometimes we here at
TonyT's do not know what
to expect when bands
come in for a
show. Needless to
say, we were thoroughly
impressed at the level
of professionalism and
energetic devotion this
band expressed to their
craft. A must see
live show for you, and a
band that will be back
here soon!

Saturday
1/24 - THE BLAIRE REINHARD BAND
|
|
|
|
The
BRB
http://www.myspace.com/blairereinhard Blaire
and the gang were back
in the studio for an
amazing night of music
on Saturday. If
you have not experienced
this band yet, you are
missing out on one of
the most original acts
on the East Coast.
The musicianship and
vocal harmonies of this
band combined with the
production put into
their live shows helps
define the word
original. The BRB
just finished tracking
some drums here at the
studio so be on the
lookout for something
amazing to be released
in the next couple of
months. The Blaire
Reinhard Band, I have a
feeling you will be
hearing this name more
in the near
future.

Wednesday
1/21 - HYPHEN-ONE & DAYLOW Hosted by
Zeke Carey
|
|
|
|
DAYLOW
http://www.daylow.net Funk,
Rap, Jazz and Pop all
wrapped up in this eclectic
group of musicians.
New Jersey's Heiphen-One
and Daylow burned up the
internet on Wednesday
night with a dizzying
array of grooves. Hyphen-One's
frenetic yet soothing
vocals flowed
effortlessly. This combined with Ruby's angelic
harmonies and jazz based
lead vocals, added to one
of our favorite evenings
here at TonyT's. The rhythm section is
tight, loose and smooth
all at the same time. The
subtle hint of trombone
really sets these guys
apart. Smart music
for smart people, kudos to the music gods
who threw this group together. Don't forget
to check out their page. Their
album Ill Regular is out
now!

Wednesday
1/14 - ANGER hosted by BUZZY
|
|
|
|
ANGER
http://www.myspace.com/uncleanger
TonyTRadio
was recently graced with a
visit from seminal NJ
Punk/Hardcore band Anger..
Originally a 4-piece, then
3-piece, then back to
4-piece and now 3-piece
again, ANGER is: Terry
Torino – guitar/lead
vocals; Mike Driscoll –
drums and Rich Tanis –
bass/vocals…they came,
played and conquered with
the unrelenting and
uncompromising commitment
that makes them NJ’s
Premier Band in their
genre for the last 17
years. Better than just a
punk band – they rock
with seamless musicianship
you wouldn’t expect when
you hear “punk” and no
holds barred, in your face
and tell it like it is
(and how you really
think but are afraid to
tell anyone!) song
writing style. From
everyday observations to
those bizarre thoughts you
keep locked in your head,
ANGER is gonna give it to
you! Even if Punk is not
really your flavor… you
will certainly be
entertained by these
old-school veterans….and
young punkers out there…
take a lesson on how
it’s done right. Check
them out on the web, buy
their music, and most of
all SEE THEM LIVE!

Wednesday
1/7 - JUSTPASSINGTHRU hosted by
DEANO
|
|
|
|
JUSTPASSINGTHRU
http://www.myspace.com/JUSTPASSINGTHRU This
band is an inspiring mix
of 4 musicians on a
mission to entertain and
spread their word.
The band is old school
Rock and Roll 4 piece with
bass, guitar, vocals and
drums. Mookie holds
it down up front adding in
the acoustic when
needed. His stage
presence was a treat and
something I was personally
waiting for up here.
We were entertained with 2
sets of original music
that combines the flavors
of rock, pop and
alternative.
This mixed in with the
amazing musicianship and
message that these guys
put out there made it a
great way to start off the
new year at TonyT's.
Check them out!
From
their bio: Hailing
from the Garden State, Justpassingthru
boasts five multi-talented
musicians: Mike Bossard (Mooki),
Joe Gorgolione, Ron
Leejack, Joey Dekker. The
music of Justpassingthru
vividly demonstrates those
talents. The lyrics are
honest and relevant, and
reflect the band's
commitment to their faith.
Fronted by the
contagiously energetic
Mooki, Justpassingthru
delivers a fresh rock
sound with passionate,
soulful vocals. Their
unique mix makes Justpassingthru
stand out in an industry
teeming with
follow-the-latest-trend
bands.

12/10 - THE BLAIRE REINHARD BAND hosted by
DEANO
|
|
|
|
The
BRB
http://www.myspace.com/blairereinhard The
Blaire Reinhard Band came
into TonyT Radio with the
groove ready and the folk
funky! With a live
studio audience and a new
record for viewing, the
Blaire Reinhard Band
demonstrated why
their style of music is
catchy and will get you
off your seat dancing
and singing to songs that exhibit
their creative and vast
musical talents. The
group consists of Blaire
Reinhard (lead vocals,
keys), Gray Reinhard
(keys, guitar, vocals),
Wade Perrin (bass, vocals,
harmonica) and Keith
Woodward (drums,
vocals). This band is
the real deal and has
shared the stage with many
national acts including
John Popper and Alecia
Keys to name a
few. It was a
real treat for us all here
to have them in the studio
and perform, and we look
forward to having them
back real soon.

12/1 - Monday Night Morons All Request
Night with Menthol Box
|
|
|
|
Menthol
Box
http://www.myspace.com/mentholboxband I
really don't know where to
start with this one.
I will say that this show
has become one of the more
entertaining shows here on
the ole WWW. Spunk
(2nd guitarist) was a no
show but this did not stop
Menthol Box. They
pulled off 3 sets of music
and the request were
flowing. Steve
Whitney from the Bad Dogs
sat in for a couple of
tunes in set #3, and Shawn
and Big Al did an
impressive duo. The
mighty El Infarto did indulge
a bit more than usual and
treated us to one of his rants.
Over the years these ranks
have become legendary in
his rise to fame.
The rant can be
viewed on the
player. Again, Click
Menu/View Movies for the
rant. In January we
will be scheduled this
show on another night so
be sure to tune it !!!

11/18 - The MEATHOOKS Hosted By Buzzy
|
|
|
|
The
Meathooks http://www.myspace.com/jamesvilade The
Meathooks - James Vilade,
Brian Wilson, Steve
Babula and Kevin Barry,
came into the studio and
played songs from their
independent release “No
End In Sight”;
exhibiting the
musicianship and song
writing abilities that
proves why Aquarian
Weekly rated the disc
“Solid”! Be
sure to check them out
at www.themeathooks.com
and
pick a show to catch
them live with either
the full band or James
and Brian Acoustic. A
great bunch of guys to
hang with, they can make
you feel as though you’ve
known them for years.
Their hearts and heads
are in the right place
which leads to making
such quality music… it’s
about having good times
and making new friends.
They certainly brought
great grooves and
some new traffic to the
TonyT Radio chat board;
and we’re sure to have
them coming back around
to the studio for some
more jams!

11/13 - Live Jazz with The Blue Brush Trio hosed by Zeke
Carey
|
|
|
|
Blue
Brush Trio http://www.myspace.com/blluebrushtrio The
Blue Brush Trio consists
of Steve Meyerson on piano,
John Lenis on bass and
Kirby Jacobsen on drums.
They perform regularly in
the NY/NJ metro area. We
were happy to have them
drop by and show us how smoking
jazz can be. Turn these
sets up on your computer
and enjoy. This band can
really bring it home. Each
member is a professional
musician in his own right
and comes from a
stylistically diverse background.
They have been performing together
for roughly one year. All
3 members graduated from
the Jazz Studies Program
at William Paterson
University. In addition to
performing as The Blue
Brush Trio, all have
additional commitments as
freelance musicians. They
have already said they
will come back and see us
again soon. Check these
guys out at their my space
page.
